Shaylin Takesue was born on September 9, 2001, and grew up in Geneva, Illinois. St. Peter Elementary School and Geneva Middle School North were her educational institutions of choice. Her passion for studying showed in her academic performance, and she graduated from Geneva High School in 2019 with high honors. Shaylin was loved by her teachers and classmates alike, and she was remembered for her kindness and her readiness to help others.
After high school, Shaylin enrolled at Illinois State University, where she continued to excel academically. In May 2023, Shaylin earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in children’s studies. Her commitment to excellence shone as she received her Suma Cum Laude diploma for this accomplishment. It was no surprise to those who knew her that Shaylin applied to the Fall 2023 Masters program to become a school Psychologist, for which there were only seven spaces available, and was admitted.
